M is for Monica. i'm a full time commerce student @ UWA. i turn one year older on the 14th Oct. i ♥ Jesus and not afraid to tell the world. i want to do YWAM and missions in the future. i love heights - planes, skyscrapers, mountains, cliffs, you name it. One day i hope to go bungee jumping and sky diving. i was born in China but have lived in Australia most of my life. Having said that, i'm still quite chinese lol. i like pink things, ribbons, bows, hearts, hello kitty, ruffles, lace, florals. i have a shoe fetish. i wouldn't call myself a shopaholic, although most of my friends would say otherwise. People often see me as strong, independent, ambitious. i thank God for the past 21 years that i've been alive. He has been ever faithful, gracious and loving.

ah shiz...i just went shopping..again !! #%^@$%#^(@*@#$%
bought a pair of boots (they are super comfy!!), 2 berets, 2 pairs of earrings and a bday present.
sigh.....



wow today was a very eventful day! havent had one of these in quite a while!

started off the day by going to the post office to pay bills. afterwards went to city to err..shop XD cel asked if i wanted to go shopping with her & ivy coz Kookai was having a massive sale. i was a bit hesitant but i ended up going anyway XDD i got to city before them so i shopped around myself first. bought a bow headband from Sportsgirl, dress from Bardot, knit short sleeve top from French Connection. then met cel & ivy for lunch. afterwards headed to the Kookai clearance outlet on Hay St. and omgosh there were ppl everywhere! i've never seen this many ppl in one shop at one time in Perth before! the store was filled with crazy women hunting for bargains! and truly indeed, all the clothes were a bargain - $10-$40!!! i ended up buying $120 worth of clothes XD all of them were tops. urgh spent nearly $200 in total today /: i swear i wont go shopping again until holidays!! after Kookai we went to uni.

as soon as we got off the bus, an asian girl asked me for directions to uwa - psychology office. she looked like an average china 'fob' to me. i showed her to the psychology building. from our conversation on the way there, i found out she was from China and wasn't a student at uwa. she is actually an air stewardess on emirates! like wow O: she wanted to do an online psychology course since she works full time. she found an online uni that offers masters in psychology without having to do a bachelors (she had already completed a bachelors in China). however she studied something to do with environmentalism in china so does not have prior knowledge of psychology. she was worried whether the online uni teaches substantial and applicable material so she came to enquire at uwa about online courses etc. i was with her the whole time at the psychology office. after that i walked her back to the bus stop at the front of uni. on the way there met Ling and a while later Daheng! i haven't seen Daheng in years! he still looks the same lol. and at the bus stop said goodbye to the chinese girl. it was probably the first and last time i'll see her. but then again, who knows, maybe one day we will meet again. after that walked all the way to business school for my finance tute.

from the mere half an hour i spent with the chinese girl, i learnt a lot from her: how she is so willing to give it her all to work towards her goals and dreams. how she can leave it all behind without looking back. how most of us just want a degree and get it over with, whereas she actually strives for knowledge. her courage and enthusiasm inspired me greatly. i wish her all the best in her future endeavours. hopefully one day we can meet again (: by the way, her english was REALLY good! seriously.

oh i digress XD after chinese while we were waiting at the uni bus stop, bumped into Nat and SarahAnn! what a pleasant surprise (:

wow what a day! very exhausted from carrying my shopping all around uni! but now should study for tomo's accounting mini test >_>



Sorry for the lack of substance lately. Been quite busy with uni and life in general. Also due to the lack of inspiration.

Something i learnt on the weekend: God gives us the things we desire, provided they are within His will. And we know whether it is His will by reading the Bible. There are more answers in the Bible than you think.

A term that means to love someone regardless of one's actions or beliefs.

God doesn't just love Christians. He doesn't just love the righteous or the good. Jesus Christ loved the blind, the poor, the prostitutes, the tax collectors, the SINNERS. And we were one of them. His love comes with no strings attached. He doesn't just love you when you are obedient. Like a mother or father loves his child, they will love you no matter what kind of person you are, no matter what kinds of things you've done. He loves you ALWAYS. He has, He is now, and He always will. He loves us, not expecting anything in return. But we love Him back in response, in gratitude of His love for us.
