M is for Monica. i'm a full time commerce student @ UWA. i turn one year older on the 14th Oct. i ♥ Jesus and not afraid to tell the world. i want to do YWAM and missions in the future. i love heights - planes, skyscrapers, mountains, cliffs, you name it. One day i hope to go bungee jumping and sky diving. i was born in China but have lived in Australia most of my life. Having said that, i'm still quite chinese lol. i like pink things, ribbons, bows, hearts, hello kitty, ruffles, lace, florals. i have a shoe fetish. i wouldn't call myself a shopaholic, although most of my friends would say otherwise. People often see me as strong, independent, ambitious. i thank God for the past 21 years that i've been alive. He has been ever faithful, gracious and loving.

17.11.09 - Dinner with the girls (Joan&SarahAnn)

This is the first time us three have gone out for dinner together. Partially because none of us could drive at the start of the year. And well, now only Sarahann is still on her Ls ;P I picked Joan up first then went to pick Sarah up. We sat in the car outside Sarah's house for SO long deciding where to eat ><" we flipped through every page of the entertainment book and finally settled with Lebanese Cuisine lol. The restaurant was in Applecross. When we arrived there and looked through the menu (it was placed outside) we were like nah, too expensive XD. So we walked around the Applecross restaurant vicinity many times in search of a nice, but fairly priced place. After much much discussion and thought we finally decided to eat at Noel Cafe. This is what we ordered:

I have NO idea why i ordered a LARGE >_> couldnt sleep until 4am in the morning -_-;; but I have to say, the latte was really good XD

We had a great night together. Must do this more often. And yes, we definitely still need to go on our awesome roadtrip (:

The Bellhouse Cafe 17.10.09



Weiwei & i came here for my birthday lunch. It's more of a restaurant than a cafe, situated on the South Perth jetty. The scenery was ok. We both ordered the same dish - Seafood something something, gosh i'm bad at remembering dish names ._. but it was the best pasta dish i'd had in a long time! Usually i don't like white sauce pastas but this one was exceptionally good. i especially enjoyed the scallops (:




Dome Cafe 03.11.09

Ellainne and i went to the Dome on Hampden for lunch before my econs exam. It was a good to chill out and stop worrying about the exam, and catch up. I ordered Calamari & Chips and an Iced Coffee:

Took Be Gi 6.11.09
It was a friday and we'd all had a whole week of exams, so Ivy, Ellainne and i thought it was time we relaxed a bit and enjoy lunch together. ivy and i had just finished an accounting exam - which was worth 80% of the whole semester O: so we were pretty relieved it was over. Although one thing i have to rant about: MY CASH FLOW DIDN'T BALANCE! but thank God it's over!

anyway, we went to Took Be Gi - a very small korean restaurant in the city. The food is really good, especially the pancakes and rice cakes. Ellainne and Ivy both ordered sweet potato noodles and i ordered handmade seafood noodles. i'd never tried these noodles before so thought i'd just give it a shot. i like trying new things haha. The noodles turned out to be ok - the soup was a bit tasteless, due to the dish being non spicy. But there was a fair amount of vegetables which was good (: We also ordered non spicy rice cakes and a vegetable pancake.







Siena's Leederville 11.11.09

After the chinese exam (which was also the end of all our exams!), Cel and i drove (well cel drove lol) to Leederville in search of a nice place for lunch. We walked all the way up Oxford St and down again because we couldn't make up our mind on where to eat ><" both of us were SO hungry so we finally settled for Siena's. Siena's is an italian restaurant and most of the lunch dishes (pastas and pizzas) were around $12 each, which was pretty good. Cel ordered Penne Pollo:

Viet place in Vic Park. As usual we were very indecisive as to where to eat, so we randomly decided to eat here. It turned out to be REALLY good - best viet place i've been to in Perth so far.

We ordered 5 dishes to share between 7 ppl. The quantity was pretty average. Here's what we ordered:

guess what? i finally got my P's today! (:
God never ceases to amaze me, coz honestly, i dunno how i even managed to pass the hpt lol. Didn't know what i was doing most of the time XD

God's timing is so perfect. i get my P's just before i start my new job (my 2nd Phase L's was on the new law - had to wait 6 months). And just everything in general, how He pieces everything together so perfectly. 2009 has been a great year. A year of change, new beginnings and many lessons learnt.
